The Numbered Series Years, 1952-1970

In 1952, Deere decided to reclassify the new models, replacing the long-lived Letter Series with the
Numbered Series. First to appear in March 1952 was the Model 60 to replace the Model A, followed by the 50 replacing the B some four months later. Following the 50 and 60 models of 1952 from Waterloo, Dubuque announced the 40 Series replacement for the M in 1953. By increasing engine rpm from 1650 to 1850 power was improved by 15 percent.
